Welcome to our new music person Sister Carmen and our new teacher Sister Emi!!!

Our lesson today was given by Sister Blanche, taken from a BYU address titled 'Grow up unto the Lord'. When we grow up and leave home, we make a transition from relying on our parents and family to becoming more self reliant. Likewise at some stage we need to have developed our own testimony become reliant on our relationship with our Father in Heaven.

Blanche asked us what we were doing to nurture our spirits? We need to make sure that our spirit is the dominate thing in our lives. If is so easy to be slack, things that are worthwhile usually require effort. It take effort to keep our physical bodies fit and it also takes effort to keep our spiritual bodies in good shape.

Where are your priorities?? Constant Prayer and Fasting can help us draw closer to our Father in Heaven and help us receive direction. As a ward we all rely on each other and have the opportunity to serve one another. When attending church we should not question what we have gotten out of our Sunday meetings but we can ask ourselves how did we help someone else have a positive experience.

In closing we discussed the importance of the temple. We are encouraged to attend the temple with our stake in October. Blanche asked us to think about this and make a priority as a family to attend.

Testimonies were shared by some of the Sisters, our closing hymn was 'I stand all amazed'. Sister Zoe offered closing prayer.

See you all next Sunday, have a safe and happy week.
