recipes from HFPE

Apologies for not posting this straight after the Enrichment activity. We have had Rowan in hospital with food in her lung and pneumonia.

It was a really fun activity, thanks to all for coming. I'm just posting the recipes that we made that night.

Super Laundry Powder recipe

PREP: 10mins

INGREDIENTS
1 bar of Sard Wonder Soap
2 bars of Pure Soap
2 cups of Borax
3 cups of Lectric Washing Soda

Grate the bars of soap very fine, either by hand or in your food processor. Mix all ingredients together. That is it. Store the powder in an airtight container and use one tablespoon per load.

NOTE:
* You can use generic brand soap if you wish
* You can use 3 bars of pure soap, I like to use 1 Sard Wonder Soap bar because it has stain removing qualities. (If you use only pure soap it will cut the price down to about $6 to make the powder)
*There is no need to use fabric softener with this powder, as the washing soda actually acts as a softener. This saves you more money.
* Always make sure your water level is set correctly so the powder has enough water to dissolve in.
* You can dissolve the powder in a cup of warm water before adding it to your load if you wish.
* All of these ingredients can be found in the 'laundry aisle' of your supermarket.
