SUNDAY 1st June

Durng the lesson we discussed Stake President Prebble's sugestions for 2008 which are

Read the Book of Mormon

Store 3 months supply of food

Prepare names of 4 generations for Temple work

Have and use an Appreciation Book

Attend the temple

Each Saturday evening reflect and spend a few minutes preparing and thinking about taking the sacrament on the Sabbath

We also talked about how we can become more united in our Ward family as sisters.

Beginning this Sunday there will be a Ward Newsletter produced each month.

We have decided to incorporate the Relief Society Newsletter which we previously produced weekly, into the Ward Newsletter.

Any Relief Society news or information will also be available on this blogspot.

Who is serving in Hobart Ward Relief Society?

LESSONS

Our Manual for this year is Gospel Principles (GP) These lessons are taught every 2nd and 3rd Sunday.

The 4th Sunday is 'Teachings for our Time'. Lesson topics come from General Conference addresses and are chosen by the Stake Presidency

The First Sunday is taught by a member of the ward RS presidency and the topic is chosen by the teacher after prayerful consideration of the needs of the sisters.

Any 5th Sunday is combined with the Priesthood brethren and the Bishopric assign a teacher and topic.
